LUDWIG DRUMS

Tate has been using Ludwig drums since he purchased his first professional kit while in Middle School. "Ludwig drums have a classic sound, and are the most versatile drums I've ever played. I can use them on any gig, and they do the job perfectly." Check out his setups below!

BELLINO CUSTOM DRUMS

In addition to Ludwig drums, Tate has also been using Bellino Custom Drums' snares for the past couple years for many different performances, including the 2 stave drums pictured below. Both snares were hand crafted by Paul Bellino, and deliver a great crack! "Working with Paul over the past year on both these projects has brought me so much joy. His instruments are wonderfully constructed, and have allowed me to express the music performed on them with ease and clarity that no other snare has done."

The "Chicago" Snare

Built for the UMC's performance of "25 Or 6 To 4: The Music Of Chicago & Friends" in Janurary 2019, this snare is a 5.5 by 14 inch stave maple shell outfitted with black nickel hoops and throw off, along brass plated lugs. It has a great crack and pop that makes it useful for many different musical applications including Rock, Pop, R&B, and Jazz.

The "Tom Petty" Snare

This special 6 by 14 inch snare was build for the UMC's performances of "Runnin Down A Dream: The Music Of Tom Petty". The wrap is in the fashion of Steve Ferrone's (TP's drummer) kit, used on Petty's last tour, but the blue matches Tate's Sky Blue Pearl Ludwigs. Made with hard cherry staves, the depth of this drum gives it a warm low tone, and its attack makes it great for loud and agressive Rock 'n' Roll!
